Chimamanda Adichie, in the reading club
The next session of the 50a50 reading club will be on Monday, December 9, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at the Librería Documenta (Pau Clarís 144), and it will be focused on this book: “We should all be feminists”, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
It is a personal and powerful essay adapted from her much-admired Tedx talk of the same name, where Adichie offers readers a unique definition of feminism for the twenty-first century, one rooted in inclusion and awareness. ‘I would like to ask that we begin to dream about and plan for a different world. A fairer world. A world of happier men and happier women who are truer to themselves. And this is how to start: we must raise our daughters differently. We must also raise our sons differently…’.
Participants in the reading club have a 5% discount at the Documenta Library.
