Trans identity, under debate
The Association 50a50 organizes on September 29 a debate on trans identity, an online session to share knowledge from the points of view of ‘classic’ and ‘radical’ feminism following the approval in June by the Council of Ministers of the draft law for the effective equality of trans people and for the guarantee of the rights of LGTBI people.
According to this draft, trans people can change their sex on the DNI without any conditions. This has sparked a debate between ‘classic’ and ‘radical’ feminism that has been present this summer in the media.
Framed in the 50a50 line of action of training, with the aim of teaching about feminism, the association presents a talk that will be led by Mercè Armelles Sebastià, member of the 50a50 board. She is currently the Head of the Medicines Surveillance Section of the Department of Health and previously she has coordinated public health protocols focused on health professionals, where health actions aimed at cis and trans women are described.
The session is exclusively for members and will take place on Wednesday, September 29, from 6.30 to 8 pm, online. It is necessary to register before the day of the session through this form. Correctly registered people will receive the Zoom link on the same day of the session, a few hours before starting.
